Location is perfect. The sea view is as good as it gets.

A little outdated and old, squeaky doors to rooms. Agreed with receptionist for a taxi to pick me up at a set location and time, yet the taxi never came.

We had an amazing time staying at Rio Othon Palace.

Excellent champagne breakfast in temporary Skylab Restaurant -Beautiful views of Copacabana Beach.Staff were very pleasant plenty of table service.

We didn’t like the renovations with the white net blocking our full view of Copacabana beach from our balcony and also the noise. Skylab Restaurant & pool not available.

It was for the most part a pleasant experience.

Location, location, location - staff very professional and courteous

Rooms are dated, lots of construction going on, no access to rooftop. At time of booking I was unaware the hotel was doing construction to make a rooftop beach club

Amazing room view, but I wanted to use the rooftop.

location: The location is fabulous, having the main touristic attractions (Christ and Sugarloaf) in a 20 mins uber ride. Also, Copacabana beach is in front of the hotel, which is great. Breakfast: Very good as well, with plenty of food to choose, and good quality fruits. Room: The view is amazing (we booked the seafront), the bed is really big (even the family room with two beds). Staff: Beatriz is an angel. She helped with every problem we had (some could have been avoided, but it is the hotel management fault, not hers). Wanderson was OK as well, quite friendly. Beach Service: Mauricio is a very kind guy that helped us set in the beach. He was quite friendly, so we asked him to take some pictures of us.

The rooftop is closed. This is my second time at the hotel, and I had found memories from the rooftop pool. I feel like there are not enough warnings about this. It doesn't help that the elevators are filled with pictures from the rooftop, reminding you of what you are missing. Also, to open my room, I had to swipe the card around 4 or 5 times until it finally unlocked the door. The elevator needs maintenance. One of the call button from the 19th floor doesn't work; In some elevators, only the right panel has the 0 button (ground floor) working, causing confusion. I think the left side of the hotel is also being reformed, so there was a net that blocked my view to the sugarloaf if I turned my phone to the left side of the balcony (thanks to Beatriz, I changed my room without problems).

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my stay at the Othon Palace!

I had the luxury sea view room which showcased the best view of Copacabana Beach.

The quality of the breakfast was 7/10; but the view was 10/10. Also, the carpeting and furniture needs a more modern update.

I would not choose this hotel again. To much mony for average service

Hotel is located on the beach and you can go to the beach and return to hotel in swiming suite. Guys on reception are helpfull and nice.

Roommade is changing sheets evry day and one day we stayed without pidjama of our son and the other day without his little teddy bear. we asked her for his teddy bear and she gave him back but pidjama disapeard. Was that on purpose or not?! Brekfast is ok but not for five star hotel. In Europe this hotel would have 3 star They have no enogh chairs on tne beach and we didnt cach char evwn when we came at 10 AM. maybe 50 chairs for 200 rooms in 5star hotel. Hotel is old, rooms to, there is no Ketl for hot water to make coffe in the room. Evry 5star hotel in Europe has it.

Lovely hotel

The location is amazing! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast has many different options and is delicious. The hotel house keeping is also great.

The beds were not super comfortable and somewhat noisy. The pool could be cleaner. The check in could be more simple, we were in line for a long time.

We had an overall pleasant experience at the Othon and would stay here again.

We loved the location of the Othon. It was central to everything we did and so close to the beach. The breakfast was wonderful and a great way to start the day. The breakfast included a variety of options from fresh fruits, lots of breads and pastries to eggs, meat and pancakes with the most amazing chocolate sauce.

We stayed on the 28th floor. We found the elevator to be quite slow with stopping on many floors on the way up or down. There is a tendency for the property to run out of beach chairs & umbrellas if you don’t get down to the beach early.

Nice beachfront hotel with friendly staff.

A nice hotel hotel with a good location. The staff were friendly and the breakfast good. Nice view from the rooftop.

The hotel could use a refurbishment in some parts and to be kept more clean in the corridors. The room was comfortable but unfortunately had bugs and the fridge worked poorly.

Worth it!

I know it may be a little expensive but it is worth it! The location is in a zone where you can go for long walks by the sea in the evening and late hours also you have access to the beach and its facilities during the day all included in the package of the hotel.

The location is excellent. The breakfast in 30⁰floor was very good and view is wonderful. The bed is good. The hotel is few steps the beach and they provide chair and umbrella. I'll return soon is possible.
